One late Sunday afternoon a couple of months ago I felt like using my camcorder again. So I took a stroll on Yonge street, which is considered the longest street in the world. The building where I live is located just a few metres from it. Usually streets aren't full of people that time so I didn't get into too much trouble filming them. For those readers who's never had a chance to visit our great city I hope this clip will be like a small introspective into hustle and bustle of Canadian megapolis.

I'm actually considering moving to Toronto at some point in the future.
Do you like living there?
Shalom Nizo! If you do you will follow a well beaten path of other seekers of a better life.
I do like living in Toronto though I 've never lived elsewhere in Canada since I moved here from Ukraine. Rubbing shoulders with people of multiple cultural backgrounds and listening to different languages (even trying to learn some of them) makes hard work here not so emptifying.
As long as one has a good job life can be enjoyable enough. But isn't it the same in your neck of the wood?
Greetings :-)
Montreal is a wonderful city as well, but the company I work for is shutting its plant here and it's a matter of weeks or months before I'm laid off. I've been trying to find something here but I haven't been lucky so far. So I'm considering TO, like the millions before me!
On another note, how did you make friends in Gaza by the way?
Well, it won't hurt to send some resumes to companies in TO unless you've done it already. You never know where you're going to be lucky.
A small company I used to work for years ago started slowing down so I panicked and got a new job after a short period of hunting. I've never regretted my decision as the old place was out of business in a couple of years. I found that you have better chances of landing a good job if you are still employed and not so desperate.
As for making friends from Gaza it's no hardship these days when millions of people are on the Net daily. Many Gazans are anxious to have at least an open window into the bigger world while they can't have their door open. I started talking to a couple of folks awhile ago. Wanted to learn more about the essence of the conflict and even more about their culture. Got invited for a visit and decided to take a chance and went. It ended up being quite an adventurous trip except they didn't see me in Gaza but I saw Gaza over 2 fences (Egyptian and Israeli one).
Salam wonderer..
you've been at least near Gaza? lucky you.. my famliy has been trying for years to even get near gaza but weren't that fortunate.. they only want to see me, not stay.. anyhow, it's really nice to know that you took your chances and tried.
Maybe i'll see you one day here in Gaza.. who knows ;)
Salam & Ramadan Kareem
